🆓 Expanded Access for Veterans
As of January 1, 2020, the Department of Defense expanded in-store shopping privileges at military exchanges—including the MCX—to include more veterans under the Purple Heart and Disabled Veterans Equal Access Act of 2018.
Eligible veterans now enjoy the same shopping benefits as active-duty service members at exchanges, commissaries 🛒, and MWR resale facilities.

Veterans who meet any of the following criteria are eligible for in-store MCX shopping:
🩺 Have a service-connected disability rating from the VA
🪖 Are retired from military service
🎗️ Are former prisoners of war
💜 Are recipients of the Purple Heart or Medal of Honor
🧢 Are members of the Reserves
All honorably discharged veterans, regardless of disability status, are eligible for online shopping through the Veterans Online Shopping Benefit.
